[Guest Post] Samantha Young on Smokeless Fire

Character Intro - Ari, Brief Bio

Eighteen year old Ari Johnson grew up in Sandford Ridge, Ohio, with her dad, Derek, and best friend, Charlie Creagh. Sounds normal, right? That’s what she thought… until her eighteenth birthday when a Jinn (you know, a genie. Yeah… a genie) showed up at her house party and tricked her into making a wish. From there, the directionless high school graduate discovered her real father just happened to be this crazy-ass dangerous Jinn King, her mother an Ifrit Jinn, and Ari’s own destiny kind of murky considering she just happened to be The Seal - a powerful weapon that can command good and evil Jinn to their knees. Now Ari is caught between the political and monarchical wars of the Sultan Jinn and his seven sons, familial drama that almost qualifies as a Greek Tragedy, and a pesky romantic dilemma - the best friend she’s been in love with forever, or the gorgeous, mysterious guardian Jinn, Jai, whose sole purpose in life is to protect her?

About Smokeless Fire

For the last two years Ari’s life has been anything but normal and on her 18th birthday, when her friends surprise her with a gimmick genie claiming to grant wishes, Ari discovers the truth. The tragic and strange occurrences surrounding her 16th birthday were not coincidental and her life is never going to be the same again.

Ari’s real parents are not normal. They are not loving. They are not human.

They are myth.
They are Smokeless Fire.
They are Jinn.

  1. What intrigues me the most about Ari, is her ability to bounce back so fast after tragedy. She's resilient, you have to admire that.

  2. I haven't started this series yet . The only things I know about Ari are from your post. She seems very very interesting heroine. The truth is that I wouldn't want her destiny but I think she would really have an adventure life and that is which intrigues me most about Ari.
    Thank you for the giveaway!

  3. What her powers are, why is it her? I don't want to elaborate much, cause it'd spoil the story. I've read all the books that are out and what kept me reading every time (besides the world of the Jinn and one very hot Jinn) is the mystery she presents. I'm very interested in finding out all the answers to my question ^^

  7. One of the things that intrigues me about Ari is how pure she is. She has so much power within her grasp and yet she does not abuse it or use it for her personal gain. She is real and true and I admire her for that.
